1998 Robertson's Golly Badges

The 1998 Robertson’s Golly badge series is a bright, varied and highly collectable set from the late era. This year’s core release featured ten Golly badges, each with its own lively theme and colourful design: Basketball, Doctor, Goalkeeper, Golfer, Guitarist, Judge, Saxophonist, Singer, Waiter and the ever‑popular but increasingly hard to find Standard Golly. Together they form a distinctive and well‑balanced series that remains a favourite for collectors completing the 1990s run.

Alongside the standard badges, Robertson’s also issued two special boxed releases. The first was the World Cup Golly, a limited edition of 5,000 badges, presented in its own display box to mark the football tournament. The second was a charming Santa & Rudolph Cloisonné Special Edition brooch, produced in smaller numbers and now one of the most sought‑after festive Golly pieces from the decade.
