Hello, I’m Glyn — born in Bradford, West Yorkshire in 1967, and still happily rooted here today. Vintage & Nostalgic isn’t just a shop for me; it’s the result of a lifetime surrounded by stories, objects and memories.

I grew up with parents who were passionate collectors. Antique shops, fairs and flea markets were a normal part of my childhood, and I was often found spending my pocket money on a piece of charming pottery, a Corgi car or whatever little treasure caught my eye. Collecting wasn’t just a hobby in our house — it was a way of life.

As the years passed and my parents’ mobility declined, the collecting slowed and eventually stopped. Their finds, along with my own, were carefully boxed away and stored in a converted attic room. Over time, those boxes became a time capsule of decades of family collecting.

Today, I’m building this store using many of those pre-loved items. As much as I’d love to keep everything, it simply isn’t possible — so I’m sharing these pieces with others who appreciate the charm, history and nostalgia they hold.

Although my passion for collecting hasn’t faded, I’ve decided to focus on something more manageable for the future: returning to my childhood love of stamp collecting. A couple of storage boxes filled with stamps will be more than enough to keep me happily occupied in my senior years.
