Description
A Hornsea Pottery planter featuring a small dog and tortoise beside a brown wheelbarrow. Pale blue flowers with yellow centres rise behind the animals, while a green glazed base brings the garden scene together.
Moulded woodgrain detailing runs across the wheelbarrow, contrasting with its cream interior. The dog has dark ears and small painted facial details, while the tortoise has an orange-toned shell.
The open wheelbarrow provides space for a small dried-flower arrangement, or the piece can be displayed on its own among other Hornsea animal ceramics.
Model No. 232. The underside bears a Hornsea Pottery “Reg’d, Made in England” backstamp.
