A wonderful and increasingly scarce Nuttall’s Mintoes confectionery shop tin, originally used on the counter of traditional sweet shops for weighing out mints by the quarter. These tins were handled countless times each day, and this example shows the expected fingernail wear on the lid — honest signs of a hardworking life in retail.
Finished in bright yellow with bold red Nuttall’s branding, it carries the charming instruction flag:
“Please retain this tin and refill with Nuttall’s Mintoes.”
